● Solar cells
Rubidium fluoride has important applications in the field of solar cells. It can be used to prepare an inverted structure polymer solar cell based on water-soluble rubidium fluoride. A rubidium fluoride cathode interface layer is prepared on a transparent electrode substrate by a solution processing method, and then an inverted structure polymer solar cell is prepared on it. This method solves the problem of the traditional metal oxide cathode interface layer, simplifies the preparation process, and improves the repeatability of solar cells and the feasibility of large-scale flexible production. ‌ In addition, this solution-processed rubidium fluoride interface material can also be extended to optoelectronic devices such as electroluminescent diodes, perovskite solar cells and field effect transistors. ‌‌
● Braze welding
Rubidium fluoride is also used to prepare a composite brazing flux suitable for copper and aluminum dissimilar metal brazing. This composite brazing flux is prepared by proportioning multiple fluorides such as cesium fluoride, aluminum trifluoride, potassium fluoride, etc., and has the advantages of non-hygroscopicity, non-corrosiveness and low active temperature range. The use of this composite flux can significantly increase the spreading area of ​​the brazing material, thereby improving the brazing quality.
